Heydar Aliyev Heritage Center published recast and edited version of “Khojaly -1992” book
The book has been dedicated to the victims of the tragic Khojaly genocide killed by the Armenian armed forces in 1992. Extracts from the speechs of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev about Khojaly genocide, historical reference about this tragedy and inquiry materials have been added to the Book. In the “Signature of the Aggressor” part of the Book photos of the victims of the Armenian brutality have been placed. Volume of the material damage in the country, as well as, in the districts as a result of the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan were given in the inquiry materials according to the numbers given in the research work “Armed agression of Armenia against Azerbaijan and the Heavy Consequences of Occupation” written by Elkhan Suleymanov and Vurghun Suleymanov. It is important to emphasize that the first edition of the Book was published on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide and was welcomed in and out of the country. The Book was included to the foundation of the libraries of the US Congress and Harvard University. Advisor of the series of “Publications of the Heydar Aliyev Heritage Research Center” is academician Asaf Nadirov, scientific advisor and author of the foreword is Elkhan Suleymanov, president of the ACSDA, MP from Shamakhi district, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the PA of Euronest and member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the PA of the Council of Europe, head of the creative group is Fuad Babayev. Materials of AzerTaj were used in the preparation of the Book. As it is mentioned in the foreword of the Book: “It is also symbolic that the Book has been published in English, French and Russian along with Azerbaijani, because these languages are the official languages of the countries which are co-chairing the Minsk group of OSCE instituted for the solution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over the Mountinious Garabagh. By This Book its creative board once more draws the attention of the reader to the reality connected with this most dramatic and bloody event.” |
